Or K-ray, or Kray. Pick your poison.
I am a writer based in the Pacific Northwest. I’ve been published recently in New Delta Review, and The Write Launch. I love writing fiction about female ambition, sports, and how our bodies thrive or suffer at this intersection.
I began writing before I even knew how to: some of my earliest memories involve dictating long stories to family members who dutifully transcribed for me. I quickly graduated to a Windows 95 that kept me up to all hours writing poems, songs, and my first novel. I had 17 pages written of my masterpiece. The next week in class, I learned about quotation marks for dialogue.
Many years, adventures, and corporate jobs later, I’m back where I began: writing, creating, and always staying up way too late. Along the way I discovered Ultimate Frisbee, which lead me to writing for Ultiworld, the best site on the Internet.
What does Once mean?
In 2025, I started a blog Once as a way to write about my bucket list – you can read the list so far here. While this was the original concept for the blog, I tend to write about a lot more.
